Meet the Team

We are a team of storytellers, filmmakers, veterinary medical professionals, scientists, community scientists—a collective group of passionate individuals collaborating under one coalition: Carapace Alliance.

Our project Sentinels. will take an intimate look at the severity of green sea turtle fibropapillomatosis or GTFP. GTFP has been documented since the 1930s, yet scientists have not been able to conclude what is driving the disease. Many hypothesize that there are anthropogenic impacts behind it.

We would like to take a kinesthetic approach to our film and place viewers in the shoes of our main character to recruit community members to science. We intend to use Sentinels. to drive our impact campaign—a global coalition focused on educating people to make conscious, informed choices to improve our waterways and protect our oceans.
